This newly designed displacement catamaran features two 60kw/100kw peak electric motors and 300Nm of torque. These motors run in parallel with a 120kw Diesel Generator coupled to a permanent magnet generator and Lithium-ion battery storage. The system has the ability to recharge the system within 1 hour out at sea. The vessel’s hull form has been specifically designed to create as minimal drag under the waterline with projected ranges exceeding 1300 Nautical Miles on a 640L fuel tank.
The Hybrid system, from the generator through to controllers, electric motors and batteries are continuously cooled by a glycol mixture. There are built in redundancies on cooling and the ability to run each driveline independently from each other for added piece of mind.
This is the calculated answer to enjoying long days out on the water with minimal impact on the environment we choose to enjoy. The boat has the ability to run on either Lithium or Diesel alone, and for top performance running both systems simultaneously. The on-board control system features abilities to select the type of drive mode, electric only for zero fuel burn, economy cruise for greatest fuel efficiency, or performance mode for high speed operation.
